JONESBOROUGH - Lavina Bernice Leach, Jonesborough, passed away on Jan 24th, 2020.

She was a native of East Tennessee and enjoyed vacationing to the beaches. She was a lifelong Democrat and worked for the election committee in Jonesborough. Advocate for equal rights and civil liberties. She was a proud mother of three and a dedicated care giver to everyone in need in her family. She also was very generous with her time volunteering for Contact Hotline. In later years she enjoyed her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She is survived by her immediate family, sister Hallie Moore, children Robbie Trent, Sandy Arrowood, James Crawford and her best friend Betty Conley. Lavina is preceded in death by her mother Nellie Forsythe and Fred Forsythe.

Lavina donated her body to the Quillen College of Medicine to further advance learning.
